Water is the most crucial ingredient to life. It not only keeps us alive, but keeps us at our healthiest while we are here on this Earth. Majestic rivers, reflective lakes, and mighty oceans display the beautiful diversity of water. Yes, dog is man’s best friend. But water is our great protector. Here are just a few of the reasons you should drink a healthy amount of water each day.

Healthy Skin

Dehydration is a dangerous thing and impacts many parts of our body - including our skin. Staying hydrated helps us avoid premature wrinkling and certain skin disorders.

Digestive System

The digestive system is another part of the body that is heavily impacted by dehydration. Not having enough water can lead to heartburn, ulcers, and constipation amongst other symptoms. Bring enough in to have a successful time sending stuff out.

Oxygen Flow

They say “Water is thicker than blood” but the truth is that blood is 90% water. Blood also carries oxygen throughout the body, meaning the water is pretty dang important in ensuring that we get the oxygen we need to live.

Joint Lubrication

In addition to blood, water is the primary source of cartilage. About 80% of cartilage, which is found in joints and discs of the spine, is made of water. Dehydration can lead to joint pain due to the decrease of cartilage.

Saliva

Saliva and mucus aren’t normally the most appealing words, but they are important parts of keeping us functioning and healthy. Saliva keeps our mouth, eyes, and nose moist and also helps with digestion. Drinking water also helps keep our mouths clean.

There are thousands of reasons that water is so important to consume in a healthy manner. All the answers point to one larger theme - health. We will cheers some H2O to that.
