Not to immediately address the elephant in the room, but how is your holiday shopping going? There’s no need to fret if you still have plenty to purchase because the Magic City has you covered. Birmingham’s assortment of local shops, malls, and mercantile collectives ensures that the perfect gift for everyone is a short distance away.
Charm
Charm is both the name of one of Birmingham’s most fun shops and the feeling your loved ones will experience when they open a present purchased from this great store! Everything from locally-made candles to jewelry to puzzles and funny oven mitts can be found at Charm, meaning you’ll find a great gift for anyone and everyone inside.
The Outlet Shops of Grand River
The Outlet Shops of Grand River has all the big-name stores you need to cross every item off your checklist. Coach, Brooks Brothers, Kate Spade, Levi’s, Kay Jewelers, Mountain High Outfitters, Nike, Pepper Palace, Old Navy, Polo, and Sunglass Hut are just a few of the many shopping opportunities found at this lovely outdoor mall that also features a drive-in movie, Saw’s BBQ, Neighbors Brews & Pies, and the chance to take photos with the Grinch and Santa!
Yellowhammer Print Shop
Nobody captures the “magic” that makes the Magic City quite like the fantastic team at Yellowhammer Creative, except maybe the other incredible local vendors they feature in their Pepper Place store! A Birmingham-themed shirt, poster, magnet, or cup is always a fun gift. Many of the company’s products also highlight and support local businesses, nonprofits, parks, and more which adds to the fun.
ORE Mercantile
There is no place like a mercantile for good shopping and Birmingham has a few great selections (also note Magic City Mercantile and Mercantile on Morris which includes great shopping for men’s clothing at Bridge + Root). ORE Mercantile is a fantastic example of this fact with this great selection of local and national brands. There is also a delicious deli in the back with some big sandwiches for additional motivation to visit.
