Piggly Wiggly's 5th Annual Wine & Craft Beer Showcase

Piggly Wiggly’s Fifth Annual Wine and Craft Beer Showcase was held at a private club in Vestavia benefitting The Daniel Project, a critical mission of the Paul Meyers Foundation.   Guests tasted over 100 fine wines and local craft beers as well as enjoyed unlimited appetizers featuring Alabama vendors, all while enjoying live music from Greenleaf Hustle.  The Daniel Project honors Birmingham's beloved Daniel Naim Ajlouny who passed away at the age of 21 from a heart condition known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The goal of our project is to prevent sudden and early deaths in young adults by educating the community on the symptoms of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which typically go misdiagnosed, as well as to fund screenings for individuals who exhibit HCM symptoms.
