The United Way of Central Alabama launched a new society geared toward African American changemakers. Nearly 200 individuals from Central Alabama gethered at Red Mountain Theater Cabaret for the launch of the J. Mason Davis Leadership Society. The J. Mason Davis Leadership Society, named after prominent Birmingham attorney J. Mason Davis, is a new affinity group brings together African American changemakers who champion diversity and opportunity and are striving to ositively impact the community through a shared affinity for philanthropy, volunterism, and advocacy. Guests enjoyed a conversation with Sekou Kaalund, Head of Advancing Black Pathways for JPMorgan Chase.
