The Salvation Army of Greater Birmingham held it’s 2nd Annual Dinner in the Streets event this year. All proceeds went to support the daily feeding programs and our marketplace food pantry at The Salvation Army of Greater Birmingham. Last year, The Salvation Army served over 121,000 warm meals and distributed 2,615 food boxes to men, women and families. The primary goal for this event is to raise awareness about food insecurity that many of those in Birmingham face on a daily basis. The meal was provided by Table & Thyme and the event was sponsored by Mercedes-Benz U.S. International Inc., Aviate, Black Family Restaurants, Coca-Cola, Drummond Company, and Protective Life.
