The parents of Cherokee Bend Elementary had a roarin’ 20s good time at The Great Bendsby, the annual Benefit for the Bend fundraiser benefiting Chief PTO and CBS.
The event featured a silent auction with items donated from local vendors. All money raised will go to support play and PE at Cherokee Bend by resurfacing the 25 year-old track surrounding the playground, extending the basketball courts and adding foursquare and hop scotch areas, and installing a new state-of-the-art gym floor.
Play and PE are such an important part of the daily learning experience at Cherokee Bend and these enhancements will benefit students of all ages, from Pre-K to 6th grade.
