Wine is many things, or at least it can be, but it really has one main purpose. Wine should make one happy. The best wines bring a smile to the lips that just sipped them. These wines are wines that make us happy. You should buy more than bottle though, the best wines don’t last long.
Cleto Chiarli Lambrusco, Vecchia Modena - $14.99
There is a wine that we all keep coming back to. It is a great way to start a great evening. The Cleto Chiarli Lambrusco, Vecchia Modena is bright and happy and perfect for hot summer days. When I was introduced to this wine, I instantly fell in love with it! Pair it with charcuterie or pizza, and enjoy!” -Lillian Mears.
Kumeu Villages Chardonnay - $18.99
How often do you hear someone extol the virtues of a Chardonnay from New Zealand? Well, buckle up buttercup, because Kumeu Village is it. It has tremendous balance and structure. It is an absolute steal for $18.99. This wine would be at least twice the price if it were from California or France, and it marries the best of both of those places into a beautiful bottle. There are less than 400 Masters of Wine in the world. Winemaker Mark Brajkovich from Kumeu River is one of them. Mark is an underdog. Not only was he first Master of Wine in the Southern Hemisphere, he also makes delicious wines at great values. It was a hard journey to earn the Master of Wine. Mark overcame some obstacles. We all love a good underdog story. And we love this wine. -W. Scott Atkinson.
Jean-Paul Thevenet Morgon 2018 - $16.99
The annual release date of Fonsainte Rosé announces that summer is officially here! A beautiful rosé that’s perfect for sitting on the front porch, the back porch, even after mowing the lawn or just doing nothing. Summer in a Glass. -D. Jerome Crawford.
Jean Foillard Beaujolais-Villages - $24.99
Jean Foillard is mostly known for his single-site Cru Beaujolais, but the past couple vintages, they have released some stunning Beaujolais-Villages at almost half the price of their other offerings. I prefer to serve it slightly chilled on the patio with some light snacks. This pairs perfectly with a hammock and a sunny afternoon. - Thomas Warren.
