Looking for a fun reason to get out of the house this weekend? Twelve of Birmingham's most innovative and talented mixologists are serving up their A-game drinks in the Magic City Cocktail Challenge through the end of the month. The bartenders are vying to claim the title of the city's best cocktail in the Birmingham Area Jr. Executive Board of the American Cancer Society's friendly competition to raise funds to fight cancer.

Typically an in-person event, the 2020 edition invites patrons to visit local Birmingham bars and restaurants during the month of September to try their featured cocktail. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the cocktail will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Patrons can vote for the Magic City's Best Cocktail by donating to the American Cancer Society on the individual bar or restaurant's link. And those who aren't ready to venture out can still cast a vote from home.

The Magic City Cocktail Challenge supports the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives, celebrate survivors and lead the fight for a world without cancer. Since inception, the Jr. Board has raised over $1 Million towards the fight against cancer, including supporting the Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge as well as 12 UAB cancer research grants.
