It is going to be quite the weekend for fans of soccer! The UEFA Euro final featuring Italy and England takes place this Sunday at 2pm, while the Copa América final between Argentina and Brazil takes place Saturday at 7pm. If that wasn’t enough, the Concacaf Gold Cup group stages begin this weekend, with the USA taking on Haiti Sunday at 7:30pm. While the entertainment provides itself, fans in Birmingham still need local destinations to cheer on their favorite teams with their fellow sports enthusiasts. Fortunately, the Magic City has you covered. Here are a few good options.

Little London Kitchen

Ain’t no party like a Little London soccer watch party! Photo:Tommy McDowell

One of the city’s newest brick and mortars is also one of its biggest English soccer hubs! I happened to walk into Little London during the England vs. Denmark quarterfinal, and let me tell you this will be quite the atmosphere to witness during Sunday’s finals. Classic English pub food and beverages like fish & chips, Duchess Pimm’s Cup (complete with fresh fruit), and delightful beer/cider combinations go great with a rowdy environment of soccer fanatics!

The Crestwood Tavern

One of Birmingham’s favorite taverns may have witnessed an ownership change last month, but it’s business as usual when it comes to the bar’s love of soccer. Lamb pies will be served during the game, and there will also be deals on beer from Cahaba Brewing during the Euro finals! The Crestwood Tavern plans to show games all weekend.

Rojo

One of Birmingham’s friendliest restaurants will be hosting a Euro finals watch party in their side room Sunday. Image: Rojo

The Highland Park neighborhood has a few tasty spots, but nothing beats the wide variety of delicious flavors that can be found at Rojo. A colorful setting and delicious drinks only add to the bliss, and the restaurant is offering this experience for fans who want to watch the Euro Finals on Sunday! The game will be shown in their side room, while customers will still order from the main bar.

Good People Brewing Co.

Good People has built a reputation as one of the best places to watch Team USA soccer take on opponents from around the world. They are even the official hosts for the Birmingham chapter of the American Outlaws’ watch parties! This tradition continues as the brewery will stay open Sunday night for the national team’s first game of the Concacaf tournament. There’s nothing like enjoying a local beer while cheering for the home team, and Bham’s original brewery has you covered.

Los Amigos

For those looking for a central location to watch the Copa finals, Los Amigos in Lakeview will be showing the Saturday night throwdown! Partnered with delicious drinks and meals at this spacious setting makes for a wonderful time for both Argentina and Brazil supporters!

No matter where you choose to watch these soccer showdowns, the consensus is clear–Birmingham is here to help you take in the games with friends, both old and new. We can’t guarantee that your team will win, but we can guarantee that you don’t have to watch alone! Have a good weekend, Birmingham.
