Alabama Theatre Summer Series Begins
July 9th (7pm)
Alabama Theatre
Who doesn’t love a classic movie? The Alabama Theatre will be bringing back its annual Summer Film Series this Friday with “Grease!” the sing-along version starting at 7pm. Tickets will be $10 for general admission and kids two years and younger can attend for free. The doors open an hour before show time, and each show begins with a sing-along performed on the Mighty Wurlitzer organ. Legion FC vs. Memphis 901 FC

Catch the Legion FC take on their rival the Memphis 109 FC this Saturday, July 10th at BBVA Field! Gates open an hour before kickoff for each Legion FC home match, and a variety of concessions, drinks, and food truck options are available in the Legion FC Plaza. The Market at Pepper Place

If you haven’t already this summer, come down to the Pepper Place Farmers Market and shop local vendors featuring goods grown, raised, and made in the state of Alabama. Grab a coffee from Red Cat and peruse the freshest produce our fair state has to offer! As always, the market is rain or shine so whatever the weekend brings, the vendors at Pepper Place have you covered.
Sidewalk Fim + Cinema
Showing F9: The Fast Saga and Zola
Check out showings of F9 and Zola this weekend and visit the coolest, movie concession stand you’ll ever go to. The Sidewalk Film Center + Cinema offers a full bar and carefully curated concession stand with all your favorite movie theater treats plus a few fun surprises. The bar and concession stand opens at least thirty minutes before the first screening of the day, but tickets are not required to enter the space so if you get a hankering for fresh popcorn, come on down!
Sidewalk partners with the following local purveyors: Big Spoon Creamery, Harvest Roots Kombucha and Cahaba Brewing Company with more coming soon. They even have vegetarian and vegan options.

American Cancer Society
July 15 (6-9pm)
The American Cancer Society will hold its 4th Annual Hope in the Ham next Thursday, July 15th at The Retail Specialists Building in Birmingham. The party is a casual soiree attended by Birmingham’s liveliest crowd who enjoy live music, delicious food and drink, all while raising funds to support the Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge. The Hope Lodge provides cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay while receiving treatment.
The American Cancer Society is working to fight against every cancer in every community and fundraising events such as Hope in the Ham are what make their efforts possible. Make sure to see here for more information on the event!
