PAINT YOUR LEATHER
Yes! You can paint your leather. This is the newest in home improvements. It’s not simple, but start with ChalkPaint.
- Prepare materials: Synthetic Bristle Brush 2”, **Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan,** leather furniture, water, bowl, wooden mixer, tarp.
- When painting the areas of the couch with the most give, thin the paint out 30%. The paint will be extremely runny, so paint several very thin layers as it dries very quickly. When painting the other areas of the couch, thin it out about 10% as there will be less opportunity for cracking.
- Lay tarp under furniture to catch any drippings.
- Do not be alarmed by the coloring of the first few layers. Things will even out. On the flexible areas, plan for about 6 coats and on the other parts, prepare for 4.
- Allow 48 hours for optimal drying time.
