Now we couldn’t look at every house in the 'ham, so if you’re pretty proud of your work that’s not on this list, know that we’re proud of you too! Also – if there’s a BHM favorite that missed our eye, comment on the matching Instagram post about this article to give us and your neighbors something else to look out for on their Christmas lights drive!  Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you...the Christmas tree treasure hunt. There are trees placed in most of the main areas all around this town – so go find them all!

  • Start: Brookwood Village. It’s a great first one to check off the list, and is in the middle of all the stores and restaurants.
  • Next: Turn left onto Lakeshore and head to Samford University. Enter through the first gate, and you will see it instantly. The entire pathway where the tree stands is lit up, as well as the tree itself. It’s our personal favorite on this list.
  • Next: Turn right out of the gate and head to Crestline Village off Greensprings. There’s one right in front of Edgewood Creamery.
  • Next: Head toward to Homewood from Edgewood down Oxmoor Rd. There isn’t a tree there, but there is a big, beautiful star hanging over 18th St South.
  • Next: From Homewood, connect to Mountain Brook Village through Hollywood Blvd. Grab a hot chocolate at Starbucks and then walk across the crosswalk to the big red tree.
  • Next: Halfway there! Turn around and get back on Hollywood to connect to 31 and head towards downtown. Drive to Railroad Park, where you’ll find two Christmas trees. One is pretty obvious, but can you find the second? (Hint: look up at the Regions building).
  • Next: Get on 280 toward the summit. Enter the beautify lit summit entrance, and drive up the hill. The tree will be on your right.
  • End: Go down 280 to get back on 31 towards Vestavia. Pass Wildforest Apartments on your right and Brookwood Medical Center on your left, and then look out for the gazebo right before the street light. Turn right and park near the gazebo, and then walk up to it for the finale. There, you can see the tree, the other tree to the left of the street light, and overlook the lit-up city.

Now time for the lights!! You might as well look at these houses while doing the Christmas tree hunt because they’re pretty spectacular, but either way – here is the list of houses categorized by neighborhoods:
