Thunder on the Mountain
July 4th (9pm)
Vulcan Park & Museum
An annual Bham tradition, Thunder on the Mountain showcases the best fireworks the city has to offer year after year! The show will be programmed to a unique musical score (airing on multiple iHeart media radio stations) featuring artists such as James Brown, Imagine Dragons, and more. Viewers can watch the show in person across the city or live via WBRC Fox 6. This is the ultimate firework show that you won't want to miss out on!
Magic City Smoke and Boil: BBQ & View
July 4th (4-10pm)

Being free to the public, having great food vendors, and concluding with an amazing fireworks show is the complete recipe for an exciting 4th of July! Magic City Smoke and Boil presents BBQ & View as a way for those staying in town to celebrate the 4th in a safe and friendly environment! We’d love to see you at BBQ & View this July 4th from 4-10pm.
Fire on the Water
July 3rd (5-9pm)
Oak Mountain State Park
The City of Pelham along with Oak Mountain State Park will be celebrating July 4th on the Saturday before the national holiday! The event titled Fire on the Water will begin at 5pm and will hold fun family activities, live music, food trucks, and so much more. The firework show will begin at 9pm and tickets for the event will be sold at $15 per car of 4 people. Pelham residents will be offered a discounted price of $10 a vehicle (state-issued ID or proof of residency will be required for this discounted price!) Bring the whole family and enjoy a day of celebration at Oak Mountain State Park!
Homewood July 4th Festival
July 4th (5pm)
Downtown Homewood
The city of Homewood and the Homewood Parks & Recreation Board will be celebrating the 4th of July in Downtown Homewood beginning at 5pm. There will be a combination of inflatables and rides for children of all ages, and a Dj will provide music for the event! Admission into the downtown area will be free of charge, however a $10 wristband will be required to ride and play on attractions. There will be a tent selling wristbands located near the intersection of 18th Street South and 29th Avenue South.
All American Blast!
July 2nd (12-11pm)
The Backyard Leeds
Start the weekend off with a bang on Friday, July 2nd as The Backyard celebrates with their All American Blast! In partnership with The Outlet Shops of Grand River and WZZK 104.7 Radio, The Backyard will host a day of live music, face painting & balloon art, great food and drinks, mini-golf, movies and yes, a huge firework show! Home to the newly opened Neighbors Brew & Pies and Saw's BBQ Leeds - guests are encouraged to show up early and enjoy all there is to offer! Festivities kick off at Noon. Live Music begins at 12pm. Fireworks start at 9pm. Single movie to follow immediately after the firework show at the Grand River Drive-In.
