If you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly event that will kick off your holiday season, you’re in luck – Birmingham Mom Collective’s second annual Holiday Drive-in with Santa is taking place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 21 at the Grand River Drive-In in Leeds.
“Everyone in the family is welcome, and with it being the Sunday before Thanksgiving, it can be the start of your holiday season,” said Julie Sasse, co-owner and cofounder of the Birmingham Mom Collective.
The movie on deck is the classic A Christmas Story, and, in addition to the movie, attendees will get an opportunity to meet and take a professional photo with Santa. The first 100 cars in the gate will also get swag bags, including a $10 snack voucher for popcorn, a drink, and candy provided by UAB Callahan Eye Hospital and a BHM Aviate hat. Santa will start taking photos at 4 p.m., and the movie will begin at 6 p.m.
“To meet Santa, we ask that attendees support our nonprofit partner, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama, by bringing a home cleaning item or monetary donation, because this is the season of giving,” Sasse said.
The event is put on by Birmingham Mom Collective – the go-to influential resource for parents in and around Birmingham – and Ascension St. Vincent’s. Click here to grab your tickets.
