We are entering the twelfth and final month of 2022 and it’s shaping up to be quite the event-filled bash in Birmingham. Holiday celebrations are already taking place, and join concerts and annual events join to make for a great last week of November/first week of December. Here are a few things we are most looking forward to over the next 7 days.
Ham Bagby & Anna Hope (Hand Truck) - Iron City Grill (Tuesday)
Two of the Magic City’s most fun collaborators are coming together to provide an exceptional night of music this Tuesday evening. Ham Bagby and Anna Hope are taking the stage together as Hand Truck at the Iron City Grill to share their talents with a ready Birmingham audience. The Grill side of this famous Alabama venue has been putting on some great shows (and open mics on Thursdays), so try to get out and show some support!
The 13th Annual Sidewalk $10k Party (Wednesday)
Do you love supporting Alabama nonprofits? What about winning $10,000? Free movies and wine? If any of those things slightly appeal to you, you will fall in love with the yearly Sidewalk event highlighted by a $10,000 drawing that gives Birminghamians the opportunity to buy a ticket for $150 - giving you a 1 in 155 chance of winning the big prize. You can also enter the Sidewalk Superfan raffle for $75, the fun wine pull event for $25, or participate in the Silent Auction to support Sidewalk this Wednesday at Saturn.
Hip Hop Art Show #3 (Saturday)
Art By Burx and Hannah Burx have been consistently bringing a nonstop rush of fantastic shows to True Story Brewing, including their Hip Hop Art Show collaboration with Phrasure. The series continues this Saturday night and features an all-star lineup including Phrasure, Mel. Crozby, Shaheed and DJ Supreme, Jefzxn, and dancing by Hannah Burx. There will also be art on display and music from DJ Gap. This is a premier event to get a feel for the incredible local music scene we have in the Magic City.
Krampus Pictures (Saturday)
Put on your finest holiday sweater and get the family ready - Krampus is in town this Saturday at Books, Beans, and Candles! This fun event lets Birminghamians take their picture with the Christmastime legend who scares misbehaving children - so make sure to be on your best behavior!
Saturn Holiday Market (Saturday)
The holiday season is a wonderful time to support local causes, and Birmingham venues are great at putting area businesses at the front and center of our shopping experience. This includes the Saturn Holiday Market on Saturday which will feature clothes, plants, art, and much more.
