We hope you enjoy a lively tune Birmingham, because there are plenty to choose from this week in the Magic City. National acts, musical celebrations, and local punks all come together to make for the perfect next few days of concerts. Whatever genre you look for will be represented in Bham this week. Here are a few of the shows that we are most looking forward to.
Vibe Tribe 205 July Producer Showcase at The Upstairs at Avondale (Wednesday)
Luke Crowder is at it again. The award-winning producer is bringing the Vibe Tribe producer showcase event back to The Upstairs at Avondale this Wednesday evening. Luke will be playing a set along with his recent Stellar Award winning collaborator Classified Alias and two of the South’s most respected musicians in Jazzmine Garfield and KTGotBeats. Throw in some of the Magic City’s finest fashion designers, artists, and cookie creators all setting up to sell their goods and you have quite the eventful mid-week night.
Punk Rock Show at The Nick (Friday)
Art By Burx is bringing the state’s most consistent (and fun) punk series to one of Birmingham’s most fitting venues for such a show. The Nick will be hosting some of the area’s most thrilling bands this Friday night. Featured acts include Ramblin’ Ricky Tate, Bradley Bell, Power Sink, Over Seasons, and Blood Moon Riot.
Ensley Renaissance Festival 2023 at Tuxedo Ballroom (Saturday)
A celebration of one of the Magic City’s most artsy neighborhoods that is full of local businesses is returning this Saturday! The Ensley renaissance Festival is a celebration of all things Ensley - and it’s fun for the whole family. Music from acts like Ashley Sankey, Alvin Garrett, and Dru Toney coincides with face painting, local artist and vendor displays, and access to community resources. This will be a fun day out!
Mason Music Fest 2023 at Avondale Brewery (Saturday)
It’s always a good time when Mason Music and Avondale Brewing come together to celebrate the prior organization’s anniversary! This year’s Mason Music Fest lineup is a thoroughly entertaining one with Futurebirds (a personal favorite), Colony House, The New Respects, The Secret Sister, Annie DiRusso, and Carver Commodore all taking the stage. There’s a reason this Saturday’s festival is on About Town’s list of most anticipated concerts in July - it’s going to be a good time with great music.
